Protecting Our Great Outdoors: A Visit with Indiana’s Conservation Officers

State Senator Jim Tomes Indiana Senate District 49

This past week at the Statehouse, I had the distinct honor of hosting several of our Indiana Conservation Officers from the Southern District.

State Senator Jim Tomes with Indiana DNR

As many of you know, our DNR officers do much more than just patrol our woods and waterways. They are our first line of defense in protecting Indiana’s natural resources, ensuring public safety in our state parks, and upholding the traditions that make Southern Indiana unique. Whether they are conducting search and rescue operations or educating the next generation of hunters and anglers, their dedication to the “Hoosier State” is unmatched. I remain committed to ensuring our law enforcement officers have the tools and support they need to keep our community safe.Thank you to the men and women of the DNR for your tireless service!
